Michigan Public TV Stations Offer Help to Kids and Families

Michigan Association of Public Broadcasters (MAPB) television stations are offering up their 24-hour PBS KIDS channels and have special tips for parents about how to keep children learning while schools are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fun and educational K-12 content is offered on-air and on-line for through local Public Television stations. Programs are age appropriate and educator approved.

Some stations are sending weekly newsletters to partners and viewers offering tips on how to cope with the virus threat, how to speak with kids about it and how to keep them learning. Others are having virtual town hall meetings about coping for families  social distancing together.
