WMMI/WCZY Receives Congressional Recognition

Latitude Media’s WMMI-AM/WCZY-FM (Mt. Pleasant) has received Special Congressional Recognition from Congressman John Moolenaar, in honor of receiving the 2020 Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award.  Moolenaar wrote that “under the leadership of Laurie and Bob Peters these two stations have continued to grow, providing quality entertainment and pertinent information to area residents.  The stations’ commitment and dedication to our community is more than deserving this recognition.  On behalf of Michigan’s Fourth Congressional District, I extend my appreciation to the teams at 104.3 WCZY and Buck 92 WMMI for their efforts and wish them continued success.”

The station received the Community Service Award from the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce at ceremonies held June 26.

Bob Peters, writing on Facebook said, “Wow, what great recognition for our staff. They certainly deserve this. Thank you for working so hard during a difficult year. Thank you to the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce and all the rest of our community for allowing us to serve.”
