The MAB Foundation is committed to supporting the next generation of Michigan broadcasters and media professionals. Each year, the Foundation awards scholarships to students pursuing careers in broadcasting, journalism, media and related fields.

Many of our college scholarships share similar eligibility requirements, and students may qualify for more than one award. We encourage applicants to review each opportunity and apply for every scholarship for which they are eligible.

A New Endowment
Building a Lasting Legacy: The Trevor Forsythe WZMQ-TV Scholarship
The Trevor Forsythe WZMQ-TV Scholarship was established through an endowment pledge from Lilly Broadcasting and WZMQ-TV in memory of Trevor Forsythe, a former MAB Foundation scholarship recipient and Northern Michigan University graduate.
The endowed scholarship will provide ongoing support for students at Northern Michigan University pursuing careers in broadcasting and media. Contributions to the endowment are welcomed from friends, colleagues and others who would like to help continue Trevor's legacy by supporting future generations of broadcasters.

The MAB Foundation also awards scholarships through endowed funds established for students at select Michigan colleges and universities. Unlike the scholarship opportunities listed above, students do not apply directly to the MAB Foundation for these awards.
Eligible students are identified and nominated by faculty or advisors at participating institutions. If you attend one of the schools below and are interested in being considered, we encourage you to speak with your faculty advisor or broadcasting/media program representative about available opportunities.
