Keynote Address: Jennifer Hammond | 9:15 am - 10:00 am
Known for her energetic storytelling and passion for Detroit sports, Fox 2 Detroit's Jennifer Hammond will headline this year's event with an inside look at life on the sidelines, from locker room interviews to building trust with players and viewers alike.
Step inside The Media Lab & Career Fair, powered by MSU: an interactive space designed for the next generation of storytellers. Get hands-on with the latest broadcasting and media technology, explore the future of journalism, radio, and digital content, discover colleges and universities leading the way in media education across the state, and connect directly with Michigan broadcasters to launch your career in media.

Step up to the podium and take questions just like the pros do after a big game. In this high-energy session, groups of college students will rotate through the “press table,” fielding rapid-fire questions from industry professionals in the audience. Each group gets five minutes in the spotlight, practicing quick thinking, clear communication, and confident presentation under pressure.
Find your way around Ford Field! All sessions take place in Gates G and F and the Hall of Legends on the second floor.
The Media Lab + Career Fair powered by MSU kicks off at noon in the Gate A Atrium, don’t miss your chance to explore, connect, and get hands-on with the latest in broadcasting and media technology.

Storytelling & Trust in Sports
Industry veterans from FanDuel Sports Network will discuss how telecasts are more than just showing the game, they tell the stories of the teams, players, and how each game unfolds. Discover how stats, graphics, interviews, and behind-the-scenes access enhance the storytelling process and bring fans closer to the action. The session also explores how production teams build trust with players, coaches, and audiences to create authentic, engaging coverage that resonates beyond the final score.
