WOMC Helps Raise $116,000 During 2025 Walk for Miracles
On September 13, Audacy’s WOMC-FM (Detroit) personalities JoAnne Purtan and Jason Raithel joined more than 2,000 superheroes for the Corewell Health Children’s Walk for Miracles at the Detroit Zoo. Event proceeds of $116,000 will benefit Children’s Miracle Network programming at Corewell.

Scripps, who studied Broadcast and Cinematic Arts at Central Michigan University, joined WWTV/WWUP in 1996. Scripps had a lifelong dream to be on Jeopardy. In 2019 he took the online test, qualified to go to Chicago for the next step, were he was selected to be on the show.

Crandall began his broadcasting career during high school at WCSR-AM (then WBSE) in Hillsdale as a DJ and sports commentator. After graduating high school in 1956, Crandall attended Hillsdale College. While attending, he was the news and sports director at station WTVB-AM in Coldwater.
