Rich Juday Joins WLUN-FM as Director of Sales
WLUN-FM (Pinconning/Midland) has announced the hiring of Rich Juday as its next Director of Sales for the radio station. In his role, Juday will oversee the sale and generation of station inventory, including commercial spots, content sponsorships, website advertising and other promotional offers.
Juday also joins the Great Lakes Loons business development team to connect radio advertisers to opportunities with the Loons, including sponsorships, ticket packages and premium seating, and private event rentals of Dow Diamond. Juday’s first day with the organization is slated for August 23.
Juday was a four-year starter for the Michigan State Spartans baseball team. In 1991, he signed with the Chicago Cubs to a Minor League Baseball contract and played two years for the organization. Later he played in the minors with the Pittsburgh Pirates and was a minor league hitting instructor in the Oakland Athletics organization for three seasons, including time with the West Michigan Whitecaps.
Juday has spent the past 23 years in university development. He served as the advancement director for Intercollegiate Athletics for Northwood University from 1998 to 2004; the development director for Intercollegiate Athletics for Eastern Michigan University from 2004 to 2005; and the university senior director of development for Central Michigan University since 2005.
WLUN, an ESPN affiliate, is owned by the Michigan Baseball Foundation (owner of the Great Lakes Loons), under the licensee name of “Michigan Radio Communications.”
