WDBM-FM at MSU Receives National Awards

Impact 89FM, WDBM-FM (East Lansing), Michigan State University's student-run radio station and media organization, has announced that staff members were recognized for their work with individual national awards in the College Media Association Pinnacle Awards as well as the College Broadcasters, Inc. National Student Production Awards.
The awards were presented in ceremonies at the College Media Association MediaFest in Washington, D.C. on October 27, 2022 and the College Broadcasters, Inc. National Student Electronic Media Convention in Baltimore on October 30, 2022. The honors awarded were:
- CMA Pinnacle Awards: Best Audio Sportscast - Second Place: Brendan Schabath, Sophie Scheuerle
- CMA Pinnacle Awards: Best Audio Promo/Public Service Announcement - Third Place: Sophie Scheuerle
- CBI National Student Production Awards: Best Student Media Web Site - First Place: Staff
- CBI National Student Production Awards: Best Sports Show - Second Place: Luke Sloan, Trent Balley, Henry Menigoz
- CBI National Student Production Awards: Best Social Media Presence - Third Place: Staff
- CBI National Student Production Awards: Best Public Service Announcement - Third Place: Sophie Scheuerle
All work was broadcast in the Lansing area on 88.9 FM, and it was also available online through Impact 89FM's website at impact89fm.org and social media channels.
Additionally, Adviser and General Manager Jeremy Whiting was presented with the award for Four-Year Multimedia Adviser in the College Media Association Honor Roll Adviser Awards.
