Joe Marchiando (aka "Joe Walters")

Mt. Pleasant-based Latitude Media welcomes back Joe Marchiando (aka "Joe Walters") to local radio following a small hiatus.  Marchiando has been hired by the company to take the role of afternoon (2 - 7 p.m.) personality on its"Buck 92.3/AM 830" WMMI-AM.  He started this past Monday (11/13).

Station Operations Manager, Shawn Powers says, “We are super excited to welcome someone with Joe’s passion & experience into the Latitude Media, LLC family. His talents & focus on community involvement plus, his drive for Classic Country music has really propelled him to the top of our list!”

Born & raised in Beal City, Michigan, Marchiano's first love is sports (go Aggies) followed by music, where he plays in a couple bands & enjoys entertaining folks at parties & receptions as a DJ. He says it’s the people who fuel his passion, whether it’s with a melody or a laugh. He enjoys golf, hockey & snowmobiling or hanging out with his loves; his cats & dog.

Marchiando previously worked crosstown at WCFX-FM for eight years, with roles both as morning and afternoon personality as well as production director.
