This past Tuesday (6/10), the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation (NABLF) honored two group broadcasters that have a significant presence in Michigan.  Beasley Media Group was the recipient of the 2025 Service to Community Award for Radio – Broadcast Ownership Group as part of its annual Celebration of Service to America Awards. The award recognizes Beasley’s ongoing Community of Caring initiative, honoring the company’s deep and enduring commitment to public service and local impact across its markets.

Also honored with the 2025 Service to Community Award for Television – Broadcast Ownership Group was Scripps Media.  The company was recognized for its relief efforts following Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Scripps News, Scripps’ national streaming news channel, and Scripps-owned local television stations played a pivotal role in keeping viewers informed. The dedicated team of reporters tracked the hurricanes, delivering real-time updates on landfall and the aftermath.

Beasley Media Group CEO Caroline Beasley expressed her gratitude, saying, “We are incredibly honored to receive this national recognition from the NAB Leadership Foundation. Community service has always been at the core of who we are, and Community of Caring reflects our deep commitment to using the power of radio to inform, inspire, and bring people together.”
