On June 14, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS)/Michigan presented the 47th Annual Regional EMMY® Awards. The ceremonies were held at the Fillmore in Detroit.

Michigan broadcast stations and networks receiving awards included Bally Sports Detroit, WDIV-TV, WGVU-TV, WILX-TV, WJBK-TV, WJRT-TV, WKAR-TV, WSYM-TV, WTVS-TV, WXMI-TV, WXYZ-TV and WZZM-TV.

The Overall Excellence Award went to WXYZ-TV again this year, including its Vice-President/General Manager Mike Murri.  Murri is past Chair of the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.

Non-broadcast entities receiving awards were Bassquatch Productions LLC, The Detroit Lions, The Detroit Pistons, The Detroit Tigers, First Fight, Great Lakes Water Authority, Mary Free Bed, Michigan Medicine, MLive, Michigan State University, Michigan State University Athletics, Out N About Media, Robin Schwartz PR, SEMCOG, University of Michigan, U of M School of Music, Theater & Dance, and Visionary Entertainment Productions
