WOMC's Jason Raithel and JoAnne Purtan

On September 13, Audacy's WOMC-FM (Detroit) personalities JoAnne Purtan and Jason Raithel joined more than 2,000 superheroes for the Corewell Health Children’s Walk for Miracles at the Detroit Zoo.  Event proceeds of $116,000 will benefit Children’s Miracle Network programming at Corewell.

Many participants dressed as their favorite superhero or fantasy character. All walkers received a superhero cape and enjoyed visiting the animals along the two-mile path around the zoo. Along the way, families met popular fairytale and comic book heroes provided by the League of Enchantment.

In addition to funds raised by walkers, corporate sponsors added to the success of the event. Some of the sponsors included: Walmart, Lady Jane’s, Credit Union One, Genisys Credit Union, Wicked Awesome Wishes, Grand Valley State University, Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation, Radiant Dental, Royal Oak Ford, Sam’s Club, Audacy, Hour Detroit, and Whitlock Business Systems.
