The Jamie McKibbin Memorial Broadcasting Scholarship supports students interested in pursuing careers in radio broadcasting, audio production or audio engineering while honoring Jamie's passion for radio, broadcast education and community service.

Remembering Jamie McKibbin
Jamie McKibbin was a lifelong lover of radio and an advocate for broadcast education. The Jamie McKibbin Memorial Broadcasting Scholarship was established through the MAB Foundation to honor his legacy and his love for broadcasting.
A longtime presence on the Jackson airwaves, Jamie worked with K105.3 and its sister stations before becoming a radio group owner with his wife, Katina. He understood the importance of small-market, community-based radio and the valuable role local stations play in the lives of their listeners and clients.
Jamie's commitment to local radio continues through the scholarship established in his memory, helping future broadcasters pursue their education and begin careers in the industry he loved.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must have at least one semester of schooling remaining after Spring 2027. Graduating seniors are not eligible.
Applicants must be studying, or have an interest in, radio broadcasting, audio production or audio engineering at a Michigan college, university or trade school.
What You'll Need to Apply
Please have the following materials ready when completing your application:
- Current resume
- Two letters of recommendation
- A 300–500 word written explanation, in your own words, describing your community involvement or community service efforts

Completed applications must be submitted by Friday, January 22, 2027 at 5:00 p.m. EST. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
