WLUC-TV Canathon Nets $125k for Food Pantries

December 12, 2025

Marquette County nonprofit and food pantry representatives celebrated the 2025 TV6 Canathon wrap up.

Gray Media's WLUC-TV (Marquette) has put the wraps on this year's annual TV6 Canathon.  Since 1982, U.P. communities have donated canned goods and other nonperishable food items to the TV6 Canathon to help feed a hungry neighbor.  The effort took place November 3rd through 30th.

This year, the Canathon raised more than $125,000 in monetary donations, spread far and wide across Upper Michigan to food pantries in need. With help from U.P. schools, churches and community members, over 115,000 food items made their way into local food pantries throughout the Upper Peninsula and beyond.

Radio Results Network also participated in the TV6 Canathon with its "Stuff the Studio" events throughout November.  The TV6 Canathon’s biggest donor of 2025 was the Superior Health Foundation.

The continued success of the Canathon can be attributed to partnerships developed with radio stations across Upper Michigan over the years, including the stations of Radio Results Network (RRN).  This year RRN held "Stuff the Studio" events during the month of November.

Another factor that helps in a big way to make the TV6 Canathon such a success is the involvement of over 75 schools throughout Upper Michigan.  Elementary schools, Middle and High schools, local Colleges and Universities, and students of all ages pitch in to collect much needed food for their local food pantries. Plus, WLUC has over 300 drop off points established throughout 10 Upper Michigan Counties thanks to the local business communities.
