WGLM Announces Historic All-Female Broadcast Team for High School Basketball Season

WGLM-AM/FM (Greenville) has announced that they may have the first-ever all-female high school basketball broadcast team.  The team of 2022 Greenville graduate Serena Schroeder and Greenville sophomore Gracelin Martin joined forces for several Michigan High School Athletic Association basketball games in late December, 2023 and early January, 2024.

Site Safety Assessments

In an effort to help provide protection to broadcasters in Michigan, the MAB and Michigan State Police Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Desk are partnering to help broadcast stations ensure safety for their staff and facilities by offering Station Site Safety Assessments that will evaluate and make practical recommendations of security operations at broadcast stations.

Alternative Broadcast Inspections

The Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP) is a unique partnership between the MAB and the FCC to ensure compliance with federal regulations and to avoid surprise inspections. Stations that pass the inspection receive a three-year Certification of Compliance.
