Morgan Murphy Media CEO Elizabeth Murphy Burns To Retire

After 43 years of service, Morgan Murphy Media President-CEO Elizabeth Murphy Burns will retire from her day-to-day leadership position. She will become chair of the company’s board of directors. The company is naming current executive vice president and chief operating officer Brian Burns as the next President/CEO.

WDMK’s PRAISE Radiothon Raises $102,524 to Benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Beasley Media Group has announced that its WDMK-FM (Detroit) raised $102,524 with their annual PRAISE Radiothon to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The inspiring two-day event took place on March 6-7, live from the station’s studios in the Motor City.

Feed the Future with iHeartMedia West Michigan Raises Over $42K

March 21, 2025

The inaugural “Feed the Future” fundraiser to support Kids’ Food Basket raised $42,208 on 104.5 WSNX in Grand Rapids and Muskegon radio stations 107 MUS “The Moose” and Rock 101.7. The event raised money for the food equity community organization that provides Sack Suppers to West Michigan kids so they can have access to good, nutritious food. The program also provides kids will weekend meals to ensure they have something to eat on the weekends.

Site Safety Assessments

In an effort to help provide protection to broadcasters in Michigan, the MAB and Michigan State Police Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Desk are partnering to help broadcast stations ensure safety for their staff and facilities by offering Station Site Safety Assessments that will evaluate and make practical recommendations of security operations at broadcast stations.

Alternative Broadcast Inspections

The Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP) is a unique partnership between the MAB and the FCC to ensure compliance with federal regulations and to avoid surprise inspections. Stations that pass the inspection receive a three-year Certification of Compliance.
