Gray Television's WILX-TV (Lansing) has announced the expansion of it’s commitment to local news coverage with First @ 4.  Launching this past Monday (5/8), viewers can join anchor Taylor Gattoni every weekday starting at 4 p.m. for their first look at the day’s biggest stories and live interviews with local newsmakers.

Mid-Michigan’s only 4 p.m. newscast brings viewers “right here, right now” news and interviews immediately following Mid-Michigan’s only lifestyle show, Studio 10. First Alert Meteorologists, Justin Bradford and Colton Cichoracki will keep viewers up to date on what they can expect with the First Alert Forecast.

Recently, Taylor Gattoni was named the anchor of News 10 Today @ 11AM and can also be seen on News 10′s digital platforms streaming breaking news and live events. “I’m looking forward to bringing viewers live interviews for ‘Mid-Michigan Matters’ on Mid-Michigan’s only 4 p.m. newscast,” said Gattoni. “It’s exciting to be part of a team that has core values that connect with our community.”

“I’m extremely proud of the work our team has put in to make First @ 4 a fantastic product,” said WILX General Manager Debbie Petersmark, “And we’re excited to provide viewers with local news starting an hour earlier.”

First @ 4 will be followed by Jeopardy on WILX, leading up to News 10’s 90 minutes of news starting at 5 pm. with anchors David Andrews, Ann Emmerich, First Alert Metrologist Andy Provenzano and Sports Co-Director, Tim Staudt.
