WGLM Announces Historic All-Female Broadcast Team for High School Basketball Season

February 9, 2024

WGLM-AM/FM (Greenville) has announced that they may have the first-ever all-female high school basketball broadcast team.  The team of 2022 Greenville graduate Serena Schroeder and Greenville sophomore Gracelin Martin joined forces for several Michigan High School Athletic Association basketball games in late December, 2023 and early January, 2024.

WGLM owner Jim Aaron was proud to say yes when the normal Greenville Yellow Jacket broadcasting team of Dixon Huiet and Wil Wydeck proposed the idea before the start of the 23-24 season.  Says Aaron, "WGLM is so proud to be a part of this historic all-female broadcast.”

Martin will continue on the broadcast team, while Schroeder headed back to Michigan State University to continue her communications degree.
