Goodrich Radio, LLC has filed an application to transfer the license and assets of WPRR-AM (Ada/Grand Rapids) to Ghettothropic, LLC.  The application was filed this past Monday (5/6).  Goodrich Radio, headed by broadcast veteran and theater owner Bob Goodrich, has owned the station since it signed on in 2008.  The station has had a variety of formats over the years, including urban contemporary, children's radio (as a Radio Disney affiliate) and progressive talk as "Public Reality Radio," a non-profit, educational endeavor.

The station is currently airing an urban adult contemporary format, branded as "102.5 The Ride".

Ghettothropic is headed by Tyrone and Portia Bynum.  The deal also includes FM translator W273DD.  WPRR operates fulltime on 1680 kHz with 10,000 watts days and 680 watts night.

Concurrent with the WPPR-AM deal, another application in connection with non-commercial WPRR-FM (Clyde Township) to modify its board.  The application seeks to include Portia Bynum in addition to Tyrone Brynum and Bob Goodrich.  Each will have 33% voting power of the non-profit licensee of the station.
