Ryan Cole

Allen Media's WJRT-TV (Flint) has announced the promotion of Ryan Cole to Assistant News Director of the station.  In a memo to station staff this past Tuesday (3/25), News Director Sean Mahon wrote: "I’m excited to share some fantastic news with you all—Ryan Cole has been promoted to Assistant News Director here at ABC-12! Since joining us in December 2020, Ryan has truly made his mark. From his start as a producer to his role as Executive Producer, he has shown incredible dedication and passion for our work. His positive attitude, strong leadership, and commitment to quality journalism have made a big difference in our newsroom, and I have no doubt he’ll continue to shine in this new position."

Cole joined the station in May of 2023 after spending 2-1/2 years at WWTV/WWUP-TV in Cadillac where he was News Producer.  A graduate of Michigan State University, Cole also served as an intern with Spartan Sports Network and was also Sports Director as well as Multimedia Reporter for the school's student-run radio station, WDBM-FM (Impact 89FM).

He graduated from MSU in 2018 with a BA in Journalism.
