Beasley Media Group has announced the launch of La Tricolor in Detroit.  The format will be heard on two translators in the Motor City, on 93.5 FM (W228CJ), 99.1 FM (W256EA) and 105.1 WMGC-FM-HD2. The new Spanish-language station officially debuted on October 1.

La Tricolor showcases the best in Regional Mexican music and current hits from iconic and rising artists including Banda MS, Calibre 50, Banda El Recodo, La Arrolladora, Alta Consigna, Alfredo Olivas, and more.  The brand and programming from comes from Entravision, where it is heard in thirteen of their markets including Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Sacramento.

In addition to delivering an authentic music experience, the station will broadcast Spanish-language coverage of the NFL, including Sunday Night and Monday Night Football, Thanksgiving Day matchups, Christmas Day games, Playoffs, and the Super Bowl.

The new format replaces La Playa.
