Lenawee Broadcasting’s Julie Koehn Elected to NAB Leadership Position

Julie Koehn, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lenawee Broadcasting Company and Southeast Michigan Media, Lenawee MultiMedia Network has been elected Second Vice Chair of the Radio Board for the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), one of the broadcasting industry's most influential organizations.
The election took place during the NAB Board of Directors meeting held June 8-9 in Washington, D.C. Koehn joins a distinguished leadership team representing radio broadcasters across the United States.
The National Association of Broadcasters serves as the premier advocacy organization for America's radio and television stations, representing thousands of broadcasters on legislative, regulatory and public policy issues while advancing innovation and service to local communities.
"Local broadcasting remains one of the most trusted and impactful ways to connect communities," said Koehn. "I'm honored to represent broadcasters of all sizes as we advocate on behalf of an industry that serves the people of this country. Local broadcast keeps citizens informed, safe, entertained and provides a level of accountability that people can trust."
Under Koehn's leadership, Lenawee Broadcasting and Southeast Michigan Media have expanded their commitment to local programming, community service and digital innovation through properties including WLEN, WQTE, 96.5 The Cave, WABJ, Lenawee TV and a growing portfolio of digital media platforms.
The company has become known for its extensive local news coverage, community fundraising efforts and partnerships with nonprofit organizations throughout the region. Annual initiatives such as Thank a Vet Day, the Lenawee Toy Drive, Hometown Hope Marketing Grants and numerous community awareness campaigns have helped raise millions of dollars and increased visibility for local causes.

The NAB Radio Board leadership for 2026 includes Chris Ornelas, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Beasley Media Group, as Chair; Allen Power, President of Broadcast Media at Salem Media Group, as First Vice Chair; and Julie Koehn as Second Vice Chair.
