On December 12, Krol Communication's WRSR-FM (Flint) aired a radiothon with Shea Automotive and Brilliant Marketing, raising $71,000 for the Old Newsboys of Flint.  Station personalities Johnny Burke, Steph Barber, Steve Driver, Mark Simons and the rest of the crew joined forces with this annual event.

The radiothon, which auctioned off items donated by sponsors and area merchants, aired from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.  The Old Newsboys of Flint is an organization that makes sure children all over Genesee County get something for Christmas and have been doing so since 1924.
