Additional NATAS Michigan Circle Nominees Announced

Last week (1/9/26), your MAB News Briefs shared news that WILX-TV (Lansing) Co-Sports Director Tim Staudt will be inducted into the Gold Circle of the Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences at ceremonies to be held on February 25 in Detroit.

This week the Academy announced the other inductees for this year's Circle honors.  Included in the Silver Circle class of 2025 are: Suzanne Boyd (Madonna University/Livonia); Lori “Maranda” Cook (WOOD-TV/Grand Rapids); David Custer (Formerly of  WNEM-TV/Saginaw and now Genesee County Sheriff); Gubernatorial Candidate and current Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson; Huel Perkins (Retired) (WJBK-TV/Detroit); and David Young (WILX-TV/Lansing).

The Silver Circle honors media professionals who began their careers in television at least 25 years ago, either in a performing, creative, technical or administrative role within the industry or in an area related to television such as TV journalism education, advertising, promotion, and public relations.
