WSAQ’s Chuck Santoni Retires

After 50 years in radio and 21 with Liggett/RadioFirst in Port Huron, WSAQ-FM Program Director/Midday Talent Chuck Santoni is hanging up the headphones after today (3/27). Santoni joined WSAQ in February, 2005 following a long run on Detroit rock radio.
Santoni got his start in radio back in 1976 as an on-air personality with album rock WABX-FM (Detroit). He then spent 8 years across town at WWWW-FM from 1979 to 1987. In 1987, Santoni moved to the original WLLZ-FM, serving as Program Director and on-air personality. He later held on-air roles at WLTI-FM, WDRQ-FM, WVMV-FM and WMGC-FM.
While at WSAQ, Santoni participated in many of the station's fundraising events, including the station's annual Roof Sit. For over 10 years, Santoni braved the elements to raise money for child-abuse prevention
In a Facebook post, the station said, "We want to wish Chuck nothing but the best in retirement and thank him for all he's done! Your voice + personality will be missed by many."
