Brooke Allen

Nexstar's WLNS-TV (Lansing) has announced that Brooke Allen has joined the station as a news anchor, joining Jorma Duran behind the anchor desk. Allen, who spent nearly 6 years as afternoon news anchor at WWJ-AM (Detroit) was also Morning Edition host at WKAR-FM (East Lansing).  Prior to joining WKAR in 2016, she was served as weekend anchor at WWJ-AM for almost 3 years.

Allen also hosts the "Caffeinated Conversations with Brooke Allen" podcast.

She studied Theater and Communications at Eastern Michigan University.

On joining the WLNS team, Allen talked about making the transition from radio to television.  "You know what? I think at the end of the day, news is news and maybe little details.  And, I know TV and radio news are a little bit different, but I'm always kind of like thinking, oh, well, what is that? Or what, you want to add more, but again, you've got the video to show it. So that's the difference."
