Art Vuolo Exhibit Coming to Museum of Broadcast Communications

October 16, 2026

Art Vuolo, Jr.

The Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago has announced a forthcoming exhibit celebrating Art Vuolo, Jr's collection of thousands of hours of recordings and videos, photographs and memorabilia.

The Michigan native, known as "Radio's Best Friend" has spent more than five decades documenting and preserving the voices, personalities, stations and moments that shaped the medium. Vuolo has saved countless pieces of radio history that might otherwise have been lost.

The exhibit will showcase selections from his remarkable archive and celebrate the importance of preserving radio's history for generations to come.

Vuolo, in an email to the MAB, said the vertical banner at the museum caught him by surprise when he was there for the 2026 Radio Hall of Fame ceremony last week.

The exhibit is scheduled to debut in Fall 2027.  The museum is located at 440 W Randolph Street in Chicago.  Learn more here.
