WDIV-TV Gives “Toys for Tots” a Boost in Detroit

This past Tuesday (11/14), Graham Media’s WDIV-TV in Detroit hosted their annual “Help Me Hank” toy drive for “Toys for Tots” in the metro.  This year they filled two trucks with donations from viewers, all of which will go to benefit children this holiday season.

WLEN & WQTE Raise Thousands for Local Veterans During 2023 Thank-A-Vet

On Friday, November 10, Lenawee Broadcasting Company and Southeast Michigan Media held their annual “Thank-A-Vet” fundraising event outside their studios in downtown Adrian.  The event, held live on-air from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. raised $47,401.49 for local veterans.

Site Safety Assessments

In an effort to help provide protection to broadcasters in Michigan, the MAB and Michigan State Police Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Desk are partnering to help broadcast stations ensure safety for their staff and facilities by offering Station Site Safety Assessments that will evaluate and make practical recommendations of security operations at broadcast stations.

Alternative Broadcast Inspections

The Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP) is a unique partnership between the MAB and the FCC to ensure compliance with federal regulations and to avoid surprise inspections. Stations that pass the inspection receive a three-year Certification of Compliance.
