Podcaster Denise Ilitch Brings Show to WJR Airwaves
Cumulus Media has announced a partnership with Michigan community and business leader Denise Ilitch for her podcast, “The Denise Ilitch Show.” The program will be heard on the company’s WJR-AM (Detroit) beginning this Saturday (9/27).

WWTV/WWUP-TV’s Ben Scripps Passes
WWTV/WWUP-TV (9&10/Cadillac-Traverse City) Assistant Operations Manager Ben Scripps died September 20 at the age of 52. Scripps, who studied Broadcast and Cinematic Arts at Central Michigan University, joined WWTV/WWUP in 1996. Scripps had a lifelong dream to be on Jeopardy. In 2019 he took the online test, qualified to go to Chicago for the next step, were he was selected to be on the show.

Former MAB Hall of Famer Roger Ball Dead at 84
Your MAB is sad to pass along the news that former WZZM-TV (Grand Rapids) Master Control Room Supervisor Roger Ball passed away September 7 at age 84. Ball began his career at WZZM-TV in 1962, joining the station just two weeks after it launched.
