Fred and Paul Jacobs to Receive National Radio Award

The National Association of Broadcasters has announced that Detroit-based radio consultants and researchers Fred and Paul Jacobs from Jacobs Media will receive the prestigious National Radio Award at the NAB Convention in New York City in October. The National Radio Award is the highest honor in the radio industry and has been awarded annually since 1984.

Site Safety Assessments

In an effort to help provide protection to broadcasters in Michigan, the MAB and Michigan State Police Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Desk are partnering to help broadcast stations ensure safety for their staff and facilities by offering Station Site Safety Assessments that will evaluate and make practical recommendations of security operations at broadcast stations.

Alternative Broadcast Inspections

The Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP) is a unique partnership between the MAB and the FCC to ensure compliance with federal regulations and to avoid surprise inspections. Stations that pass the inspection receive a three-year Certification of Compliance.
