Connoisseur Names Kevin Kerr PD of WGER-FM

Connoisseur Media has appointed Kevin “Meatball” Kerr Program Director and afternoon host for its Alternative WGER-FM (Saginaw). Most recently, Kerr hosted afternoons at Spoon River Media’s Classic Rock WLOI-AM & W293DR (Rock 106.5) in La Porte, Indiana.

AMP Media and WSMH Part of Athletes First Tailgate Tour Stop at U of M

October 17, 2025

Sinclair’s WSMH-TV (Flint) was at the University of Michigan on this past Thursday evening (10/16) to participate in the Athletes First Tailgate Tour stop, along with the parent company’s AMP Media team. WSMH-TV played a key role in the tour stop in Ann Arbor, ahead of the University of Michigan’s home football game this Saturday.

In an effort to help provide protection to broadcasters in Michigan, the MAB and Michigan State Police Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Desk are partnering to help broadcast stations ensure safety for their staff and facilities by offering Station Site Safety Assessments that will evaluate and make practical recommendations of security operations at broadcast stations.

Alternative Broadcast Inspections

The Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP) is a unique partnership between the MAB and the FCC to ensure compliance with federal regulations and to avoid surprise inspections. Stations that pass the inspection receive a three-year Certification of Compliance.
