Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame to Induct 5 Members, including former WXYZ VP/GM

The Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame announced Thursday (2/26) that it will induct five members in 2026.  The five include Jeanne Findlater, former VP/GM of WXYZ (Detroit); photographer Steve Jessmore, who worked for different publications, including The Flint Journal; Bill Kubota, a video journalist at Detroit Public Television, who previously worked at WXYZ and WJRT in Flint.

WOOD-TV Anchor Susan Shaw Announces Retirement

This past Monday (2/23), Nexstar’s WOOD-TV (Grand Rapids) announced the upcoming retirement of longtime main news anchor Susan Shaw, marking the end to a remarkable broadcasting career that has spanned nearly 40 years, including more than 3 decades of dedicated service to West Michigan audiences. Her final day behind the desk will be Friday, March 27.
