WLUC-TV Welcomes New Morning Anchor

Gray Television’s WLUC-TV (Marquette) has announced the hiring of Mandy Koskela as the third anchor on the station’s will be joining Elizabeth Peterson and Pavlina Osta on the station’s morning show, Upper Michigan Today starting June 28.

Koskela graduated in May from the University of Rhode Island (URI) with a bachelor’s in journalism and spent most of her life in southern Rhode Island.

The National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation recently awarded 103.9 WLEN Radio as the 2023 Celebration of Service to America Award winner for Small Market Radio. The Lenawee County community came together in the summer of 2022 to help the Associated Charities after an arsonist set fire to the building, severely damaging it during ‘the charities’ back to school program.

This free event will help provide Detroit residents with the tools and resources to identify and respond to a mental health crisis. The purpose of this event is to help Detroiters become better equipped to handle crisis situations, to inform residents when and when to not call the police, learn who to call in a crisis and what long term supports are available. Partners for this event include Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network and Wayne State University.
