The event raised money for the food equity community organization that provides Sack Suppers to West Michigan kids so they can have access to good, nutritious food. The program also provides kids will weekend meals to ensure they have something to eat on the weekends.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of checks to four local non-profits, who together received 50% of the gate proceeds.
