Alice Cooper to Host WCSX Night Shift

Superadio Networks’ has announced Beasley Media Classic Rock WCSX-FM (Detroit) will add the syndicated “Alice’s Attic” with host Alice Cooper to their daily lineup.  Cooper, who was born and raised in Detroit began his music career while in high school after a family move to Phoenix, AZ.

Statewide Tornado Drill w/EAS March 20

March 8, 2024

On Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 1 p.m. Eastern, broadcasters should be prepared for a special EAS RMT promoting Severe Weather Awareness Week (March 17-23).  This is coordinated to air with local communities who have the option of sounding their tornado sirens at the same time.  The 1 p.m. test is promoted as the Statewide Tornado Drill.

WRSR-FM (Flint) Raises $68k in Annual Feeding Frenzy!

On March 1, Krol Communicatio’s WRSR-FM (Flint) held its Fox Feeding Frenzy, an annual event to raise funds for The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.  This year set a new record for the event, with contributions from station listeners reaching $68,193.

Site Safety Assessments

In an effort to help provide protection to broadcasters in Michigan, the MAB and Michigan State Police Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Desk are partnering to help broadcast stations ensure safety for their staff and facilities by offering Station Site Safety Assessments that will evaluate and make practical recommendations of security operations at broadcast stations.

Alternative Broadcast Inspections

The Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP) is a unique partnership between the MAB and the FCC to ensure compliance with federal regulations and to avoid surprise inspections. Stations that pass the inspection receive a three-year Certification of Compliance.
