The Country Music Association has announced the 2022 CMA Broadcast Finalists and Audacy’s WYCD-FM (Detroit) earned two nominations. The station is a finalist along with stations from Houston, Phoenix, Dallas-Fort Worth and Philadelphia for Major Market Station-of-the-Year.

Whitmer Appoints Acting Executive Director to Cannabis Regulatory Agency
Governor Gretchen Whitmer on September 15 announced the appointment of Brian Hanna as acting executive director of the Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA). Effective September 19, Hanna will join the CRA, bringing extensive experience to fill this vital role within the Whitmer-Gilchrist Administration.

We are blessed with an incredible number of veterans, but they are struggling to grow new employees into productive, long term broadcasters. This divide is a problem and it is important that leadership begins to take action.
